How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
Forever Soles were amazing. As a bride with a history of ankle injuries, the feeling of being comfortable all day was super important, and my shoes delivered!
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The Passion Heels in Ruby. I wanted my shoes to be a fun surprise for my husband and guests. It was a pop of colour which was absolutely perfect with my dress.
How did you and your husband meet?
At the airport! It was my first day at a new job and we were flying to Sydney for the same meeting.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We have been together for around 5 years. We went out for lunch at City Winery, and he had booked out the whole back room, decorated it in lights, and our song was playing when he asked me to marry him. Then, we back to a hotel room that he booked and all my besties and family were there waiting to celebrate with us! I was so surprised. He designed my ring as well- absolute perfection.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
Ben is very thoughtful, and always the life of the party.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
**extra** (and so many other words- romantic, party, fun, special etc)
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
Seeing Ben’s face when I walked down the aisle. (And the dance floor later in the night!)
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Smoked Garage in Fortitude Valley. Aesthetically, it was just want we wanted. Floral wallpaper, exposed beams, fairy lights. And the team there just our vibe- super helpful, and helped keep the party feel going.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Hera Couture from While Lily. Another favourite detail of my outfit was that I took the pearls from my mum’s wedding dress (from 1990), and added them to my veil as a special touch.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
Absolutely amazing. We had already built a great life with each other, and the wedding was the best party we could throw to celebrate us!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We have just come back from New Zealand, and will be heading to Europe at the end of 2023!
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
You do you. Stick with your gut with your choices. It’s your day- don’t be influenced by too many other opinions!
