How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

It was everything I could’ve asked for and more. I couldn’t say better things about the shoes I wore. In terms of comfort and style, they truly were my dream shoes. I loved them so much when they came in that I actually bought the Bloom pair to wear for my bridal shower!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Melody Tall Heels in Ivory. The comfort was out of this world without having to compromise on style! I’m actually in the process of scheduling surgery on my feet and I struggle to find shoes that I can tolerate for a long time. I was able to wear these all day without any issues. I will usually have soreness after wearing heels, especially the next day, and I didn’t experience that at all.

How did you and your husband meet?

We actually met each other in high school but we didn’t start dating until after we graduated.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for nearly a decade now! We went to college in different states and had a long-distance relationship during some of that time. I came home in 2016 and moved in with him and his family until we purchased our own house in 2021! He proposed in 2020 while we were on vacation in Florida with some of our closest friends and asked me to marry him on the beach.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

His selflessness and warmth. He truly goes above and beyond for anyone at any time without any questions asked. He is the most supportive person you could have in your life—the true definition of a loyal best friend with the kindest heart. He makes me a better person everyday.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Breathtaking

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

We decided to do a first look so we could take all of our photos prior to our ceremony and really get to enjoy cocktail hour to the fullest. It was a beautiful, yet very humid day, and we got through all of our pictures as planned without any issues. When we were getting ready to start the *outdoor* ceremony, mother nature decided it was a good time to rain. It was not pouring, and the small storm was expected to pass in about 25 minutes so we delayed the start of the ceremony. The venue was amazing and provided umbrellas for our guests that just so happened to match our wedding colors—this is where I started to realize everything would be fine and it was meant to be. The rain did stop in about 20 minutes and the ceremony started as planned. When we started to say our written vows, I mentioned my grandmother who passed when I was younger, and that is when it started drizzling again. I’d like to think the rain was her way of letting us know she was there and that will always be incredibly special to me. It stopped raining just before we had our first kiss as husband and wife and didn’t rain again for the rest of the day. It cleared all the humidity in the air that was there during the afternoon and made for an amazing night to enjoy the venue to the fullest extent.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

We got married at the Newport Harbor Island Resort in Newport, Rhode Island. We knew we wanted to get married at a waterfront location, and we also knew we would have a lot of people traveling for our wedding. We wanted to choose a venue that truly embodied the best parts of New England and our home state, RI and felt this was the perfect fit. My grandmother passed away when I was 11 and she meant the world to me. She had a fascination with lighthouses and when we toured our venue we knew it was the right one.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Made With Love Bridal! I wore Harry.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

My husband is the most special person to me and it was the most incredible day celebrating our love. We have loved every minute of being married since.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and stayed at Sandals Dunn’s River! I couldn’t recommend it enough. It was absolutely beautiful. Incredibly intimate with great food and an outstanding staff. We will definitely be going back!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Try to savor every part of the wedding process with your partner. From planning, wedding events, to the big day—enjoy every minute of it.
