Brittany & Martin

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Amazing! The shoes were absolutely perfect for my day. They gave me enough height that I didn’t look too short next to Martin, looked beautiful and most importantly were super comfy.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Honey Sandals! One of the things I was most excited for for our wedding was dancing all night, and the Honey Sandals allowed me to do this! Not once did I think about my feet being sore or consider changing into sneakers.

How did you and your husband meet?

We first met in 2013. Martin got a job at my dad’s work, and I was also doing some casual work there at the time. We bumped into each other over the years, but just acquaintances really. In January 2019 I was new to the Tinder scene, and accidentally super liked Martin. We messaged for a week and then went on an ice-skating date the following weekend. The rest is history!

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We’ve been together for 3 years now, but at the time of the proposal we’d been together for 14 months. It was the first weekend of the first lockdown back in March 2020 which happened to be Martin’s birthday. We had planned to go away for the weekend, but our plans kept changing as more and more restrictions came into place. In the end we were just at home and Martin was opening his presents. I’d given him an oodie which he had put on, and when he finished opening his presents he looked at me and said ‘is that all of the presents?’ I was a little offended by this as I pride myself on gift giving! I responded yes, to which he said ‘can I have one more’ and got down on one knee with the ring.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

He is the most calm and relaxed person I know, filled with endless love and support!

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Magical

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

It was all so amazing! My favourite moments were probably the speeches, so much laughter and tears! And our first dance which we choreographed and practiced for many hours at home.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Cadella Park - when we came across Cadella Park we knew it would be perfect! We had both imagined a rustic wedding and Cadella ticked all the boxes with its beautiful barn and tree lined driveway.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Belle et Blanc Bridal Boutique

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

It feels amazing! I feel so lucky to have married Martin and be able to spend the rest of our lives together. I wish we could relive the day again and again, it was so much fun!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Jackalope for our minimoon the week after the wedding as we had to postpone our original plans! We are headed to Orpheus Island in May which we are super excited about!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Everyone says it, but the day goes past so fast! Make sure to grab your husband and take it all in at different points across the day/night. It was so special seeing everyone we love gathered together and having fun!

THE HONEY SANDAL

The Honey Sandals are a classic and comfortable design with two strap options! A ribbon tie and a plain ankle strap with gold buckle. From white to champagne tones, this warmer white colour is lovely and flatters all skin tones.
