How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Absolutely incredible. I took a chance reaching out to Forever Soles Mid-June 2024 to see if there was any possibility to order the Honey Emerald Green Bow Satin Shoes which were not available for sale until September 2024. Cristina and Angie made it possible to purchase the sample shoes shown on the website and I was head over heels with joy! I had been searching for the exact emerald green for months and months and ultimately gave up until I came across Forever Soles. They really do want to make your dreams come true, they did for me!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favorite thing about your shoes?

Honey Sandals in Emerald. The colour, emerald green is my favourite colour - it's absolute perfection!

How did you and your husband meet?

We met on tinder funny enough! He worked at the same gym I went to and knew of me prior to meeting on tinder, but oblivious me didn't notice him (or anyone else for that matter). We decided to meet one day after his shift and just talked for a little to get to know each other. I ended up "ghosting" him for few weeks unintentionally.  I reached out to him afterwards and luckily he was still interested!

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together 7 1/2 years now, he proposed on our 5 year anniversary September 20, 2022 and we were legally married September 20, 2024.  So it's a special day for us!  September 20, 2024 we had scheduled an Escape Room after work with another couple who are our best friends to celebrate our anniversary as we were leaving for Alberta, Canada the next day for a a week. They "unexpectedly" said they couldn't make it so it would just be Tommy and I (clue #1). We had to select a team name which is funny to me because I noticed his hands trembling (clue #2). I noticed we were the only group in the building which isn't uncommon (clue #3). We started the escape room game he chose; I had actually completed this scenario before previously. He found out the same day, poor guy lol. During the escape room you have to find clues throughout to open door, cabinets, boxes, and sometimes the employees will provide clues on a screen or verbally through a microphone.  During the scenario Tommy was instructed to leave to the other room. This was super odd to me as this didn't happen the first time I did this scenario previously (clue #4).  I had to complete the rest of the scenario alone to exit, this was totally fine with me BUT I had to dash down a dark hallway and anyone that knows me, knows I am terrified of the dark lol.  At the exit I was greeted by an employee who asked me 4 questions from an envelope, 2 regarding the game, and 2 personal ones, "What is your partner's middle name?", and "How long have you two been together?".  Once answered I had to follow the hallway to meet Tommy again and I stopped in my tracks.  He had flowers and candles laid out around him and we locked eyes.  I approached him and he said the most heartfelt speech, got down on one know and said "5 years ago I asked you to be my girlfriend, tonight I'm asking you to be my wife" and that moment will stick with me forever!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

He has so many good traits.. He has this ability to make you feel at home and welcome, whether you're his best friend or a complete stranger. With me, he sees me for me and accepts it all without question. He is one of the most generous, kindest, and most selfless man I will ever know and I'm so proud to call him my husband.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Fairytale

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

My favourite memory is is using saying our private vows to each other at the top of a mountain in Glencoe, Scotland (an Outlander spot if you're a fan)

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

We eloped in Glencoe, Scotland.  Our ceremony was across from Kilchurn Castle, and we explored Glencoe afterwards where we shared our vows privately

Who created your gorgeous gown?

My gown is from Essense of Australia

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

I am over the moon in love and look forward to our future together as one!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We road tripped all over Scotland for our honeymoon and ferried to Ireland near the end of our honeymoon before heading home.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Breathe and take it all in. Take your time and don't rush through the day. If you're late, you're late or as quoted in The Princess Diaries "A queen is never late, everyone is simply early". This day is about you and your future spouse, don't let anyone's opinion diminish yours when it is not their day, but it is YOUR day.
