How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

So easygoing! I fell in love with the Sugar Booties, and was worried they may not arrive in time as they were backordered - but the Forever Soles team was so responsive! They kept me in the loop, and gave me definite dates as to when my boots would arrive, putting all my worries at ease!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding and what was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The stunning Sugar Booties!! I loved how the boots were both delicate and rugged! We had a woodsy wedding, so I knew we would be trekking through the woods often. I had this vision in my head of what I wanted to wear, and was searching high and low. The Sugar Booties were exactly what I had envisioned!

How did you and your husband meet?

My husband and I met when we were 12 years old! We quickly became good friends, and when we turned 16 - we began to date. I got my license first, so I was the one to pick him up for our first date (haha!).

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for over 10 years now, and he proposed on March 3, 2020 on a trip to Mexico (just before the pandemic hit!). My whole family was there with us and it was absolutely perfect.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

He is my best friend. We have grown up together, and been through so many highs and lows of life. He is my rock and safe place, but he also encourages me to move outside my comfort zone and pursue my dreams. I am so lucky to have spent most of my life with him by my side and look forward to many more years!

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Magical.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Definitely our first look together. There was so much going on, and it was so nice to have a quiet moment together to take it all in.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

In my parents' wooded backyard in Oak Ridge, NC. Mitch and I both grew up in Oak Ridge, and we have so many family and friends that have been with us throughout our relationship. We really just wanted something simple and meaningful. Plus their backyard is STUNNING. Reminds me of Bella and Edward's twilight wedding (haha).

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Jenny Yoo

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

It feels amazing! I am so proud to call Mitch my husband.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Ochos Rios, Jamaica. It was gorgeous and we can't wait to go back!!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

I know there are so many highs and lows in the wedding planning process, but everything will truly work out on your big day. Take it all in, and try your best to enjoy every moment. Everyone always says this, but it truly goes by so fast!!

The Sugar Bootie

Made for any occasion, not just weddings. Have fun styling up with jeans, dresses or cosy winter outfits. They are the BEST all year round, all style round, comfortable, fun boots.
