How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

My experience was a breeze, I had swooned over many of the barefoot sandals, and I found an image on instagram for the Fiji sandals and knew they were the perfect fit for my dress and jewellery.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding?

The Fiji Barefoot Pearl Sandals

What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

I live on 5 acres, and am virtually barefoot all the time. I didn't want to be totally barefoot for our elopement, but I also knew I would feel uncomfortable in heels or boots, these were the most gorgeous detail for the feet, and still got to walk around bare soles to earth.

How did you and your husband meet?

We met years before we got together when he was a locum pharmacist at the pharmacy I was working part time in. A few years later he came to one of my yoga classes after returning from a trip to Sri Lanka. The following week he invited me out for pizza and a fire and we've been together ever since.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for 5 years. He proposed to me one Christmas morning. I knew, well thought I knew I was getting a ring from him ( not of the engagement kind ), and when I opened the box was completely shocked, he dropped to one knee and gave a beautiful spial ( none of which I remember haha ), because I was just do damn stoked! - he did still give me the other ring later that day 😉

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

Honestly? It's so hard to nail it down to 1, but if I had to, I'd say he's the best friend I've ever had!

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

ALL KINDS OF MAGIC

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Gosh there are sooo many, either our vows ( we wrote each others + they were hilarious ), or the partying by the fire after the ceremony and into the dinner service.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Whalesong Shack - Falmouth, Tasmania - We were initially eloping to Nusa Lembongan but Covid had other plans. We always wanted to have an experience over an event, and when I first laid eyes on whalesong, the space, the tasman sea, the fire pit - the heart knew what the heart wanted.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

We had the most chilled out wedding - from planning to the day. Our photographer Imagen really made our day what it was, and captured every single moment and detail. My biggest advice is to find a location or venue that sings to you, a photographer you really connect with and vendors that are legends! They really make your day, especially if you have a smaller wedding.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

My dress the Avril Dress by Grace Loves Lace, it's been discontinued, and I've had it in its box for the last 4 years. Fun Fact - we found out I was pregnant with our first girl the day after it arrived!

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

After having 2 kids together, I honestly didn't think it would feel any different, but It really does. Our relationship feels completer and more connected ( which I didn't think it could be any more than what it was ).

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We stayed at Whalesong, toured around the East Coast of Tassie, then spent a day and a night in Launceston.
