How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
I was so nervous about finding the right shoes because I didn't want my feet to be in pain on the most important day of my life. After reading many positive reviews from former brides, I decided on Forever Soles and I'm so glad I did! They had a great selection of beautiful shoes and I decided on Destiny because of the vintage and timeless look to them.
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding and what was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The Destiny Sandals. My wedding shoes were not only beautiful, but most importantly, comfortable! I danced all night and even wore them to the after-party!
How did you and your husband meet?
We both worked for the same company for 5 years and never met because we worked in different cities. We finally met each other and had an instant connection.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We were together for 4 years when he proposed. He took me out for a stroll by the lake and popped the question in a little secluded area by the water.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
The way he makes me feel! Even though we've been together for over 5 years now, I still get butterflies. He also makes me feel secure and loved every single day with his actions and words. He is truly the love of my life!
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Timeless. We chose the historic Napoleon House for our wedding because of it's timeless elegance.
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
I loved the Second Line parade! Second Line is a New Orleans tradition in which the newlyweds parade around town with a brass band and wedding guests. We had a blast parading around the French Quarter and even had strangers join our parade! It felt like a dream!
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
New Orleans, LA. We both live in Austin, Texas but we wanted a destination wedding. We chose New Orleans because of its rich history and fantastic food! There is just no place like it!
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Justin Alexander purchased from Melange Bridal.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It's still very new so I'm still getting used to referring to each other as husband and wife. But I love being married and I absolutely thought our wedding was perfect and exactly what we both wanted. We both had an absolute blast and our guests still can't stop talking about the food and how much fun it was!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Tulum, Cozumel and Playa Del Carmen. It was so nice to have some intimate time together at some truly incredible locations.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Invest in a good pair of shoes! The last thing you would want is to uncomfortable and miserable because your feet hurt. I highly recommend Forever Soles!
