Posted: Feb 27 2017
Your wedding should be the most enjoyable day of your life. However, choosing the wrong shoes could somewhat spoil your day. Choosing wedding shoes for the bride is never easy and you might find yourself shying away from the task and assigning someone else to do it for you. There are such a wide variety of sizes, shapes, colours and styles that finding the pair that will work perfectly is a difficult decision.

Here are some tips that can help you in finding a perfect pair of shoes for your wedding:
Bear in mind that you will be wearing the shoes from early in the morning to some time late in the night. Shoes that don’t fit well will cause you a lot of pain, while loose ones will be dragging on the pavement and the floor causing awkward noises. Proper wedding shoes usually have additional padding to make them comfortable; so, don’t make the mistake of buying shoes that lack this padding. You will be happy to know, at Forever Soles we focus on this and add extra padding to the base of all our bridal shoes to give you extra support and cushioning.
Don’t overspend just because you want unique wedding shoes. Going for expensive shoes at the expense of other necessities will give you a lot of stress. Some experts advise that you spend about 10 – 15% of the value of your dress on your bridal shoes. If you are looking to save a little on your wedding day, our latest collection of Love Island bridal shoes are now on sale! Check them out here.

Satin and silk are customarily the two most popular choices for wedding shoes. However, personal taste and your wedding dress are going to influence the shoes you choose. Your shoes don’t need to be traditional if you are not putting on a traditional wedding dress.

Your shoes and dress should both fit well. Order your wedding dress and your shoes early enough to give you time if you need any adjustments. This will take a lot of stress off your back, and ensure that when the wedding day comes around, everything is perfect. Your wedding dress and your shoes should be of matching colours. They should also match the style, location and the setting of your wedding. For example, you can go for beach wedding shoes if your wedding is to take place at the beach. The colours should also match your taste and personality.
