How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

My experience as a Forever Soles bride was seamless! From browsing online, to the extremely quick shipping and customer service, it was an absolute breeze. Then add on top that they are truly the most comfortable heels that I've ever worn. An extra added bonus that there's comfort with absolutely no compromise on appearance or style of the shoes. I wore my shoes from around 3pm through to after midnight when we got back home, and not once did I feel the urge to take my heels off, which is usually a very common thing for me when I'm wearing heels!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

I wore the Passion Low Heels in Emerald. Emerald green is my absolute favourite colour, so the fact that I got to wear beautiful shoes in this colour that didn't detract from either of my dresses, but still made their own statement throughout the evening, was a huge win! And I'll genuinely be able to wear them (and more importantly, want to wear them) again to other occasions/events!

How did you and your husband meet?

We are a modern day love story and met online - we both had a lame dad joke in our profiles and when we met for our first date, we hit it off, realised we both have a love for good red wine, and that we both obviously have a similar sense of humour, and similar values/ambitions in life.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We've been together for around 2.5 years, he proposed not long after our two year dating anniversary on a long weekend getaway to Bright in Victoria. We had been to Bright just the two of us the year earlier and loved it, then we went back last year with my two kids. We went up to the lookouts at Mount Buffalo and with the gorgeous backdrop of Victoria's High Country he popped the question, and I obviously, without hesitation said yes!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

The most amazing thing about him is his loyalty, and his genuine and deep care for those that he loves.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Surprise!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

I have a few - while I was getting changed from dress #1 to dress #2 with one of my best friends, and hearing our guests scream, knowing that our celebrant had made the surprise announcement that our 'engagement party' was becoming our wedding was a highlight!

Then walking down the makeshift aisle, first with my parents, then having both of my sons walk me the second half of the way to Jordan was something I'll never take for granted.

Hearing Jordan's vows to me, then being able to just celebrate and have a party with our favourite people for the rest of the night was just the best!

And having a surprise bridal party so that our best and closest friends/family could stand up the front with us as we got married was an extra special touch.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our wedding was at The Grand Hotel in Warrandyte in their Riverview function room. We picked this location as we both love Warrandyte, and knew that having photos across the road along the Yarra river would be a beautiful backdrop. We had also been to the Grand for dinner a while back and enjoyed the food and the vibe of the pub, so when we saw the function room upstairs we knew it was the right kind of vibe and place for what we wanted!

Who created your gorgeous gown?

I wore two dresses - one that fit the part as an engagement party dress which is from Elle Zeitoune, then my wedding dress was a Chancery wedding gown.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with Jordan is just the best. We're building a really beautiful life with each other, so the fact that we get to do that with the titles 'husband' and 'wife' now just makes it all the more special!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We spent a week in Port Douglas which was an absolute dream! Got to snorkel in the Great Barrier Reef, saw the Daintree Rainforest, and spent plenty of time enjoying each other's company, eating delicious food, and relaxing by the pool!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Make your day what you want it to be! Obviously we all have our own customs and traditions, but if there are things you want to do or include that aren't 'traditional', or things that you don't want to do or include, then follow your heart and gut, and make the day what you want it to be!
