How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
In a word; incredible, it was so easy to select the perfect pair of shoes for my day, get them delivered seamlessly and the fit was perfection.
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
I wore the Melody Heels in Ivory! I love the fit and comfort of them, I was able to wear them the entire day (outdoor wedding and photos) and not sink into the ground, plus dancing all night long. I also loved the little floral details and had my nails painted to match!!
How did you and your husband meet?
My husband and I met while learning to be ski instructors in Whistler, Canada.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We have been together for almost 8 years, he proposed at our favourite cliff top spot in Freshwater Beach, Sydney at sunset on his birthday with a bottle of champagne and flowers set up on a picnic rug. His parents had also flown down from Queensland as a surprise and our two families had a celebratory dinner afterwards.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
His quick wit and humour, his adventurous spirit and how driven he is in life. He truly supports me being my best self and ensures we always have a good time.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
A dream.
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
Justin (being the overachiever he is) learnt to play the guitar and sing in the week leading up to our wedding (in secret). At our wedding at the end of his speech he had then organised for his groomsman and my sister to bring me to the middle of the room where he sang me Simply the Best (the version from Schitts Creek) to the entire reception. To say there was water works is an understatement.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Tinkersfield at Crackenback
Having met as ski instructors and then proceeded to do back to back seasons for the next 4 years we had so many special memories in the mountains and made sense for both of us to tie the knot in that place.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Kyha Studios - it was spectacular. My hat was from Helen Kaminski.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It was such an amazing moment to be able to celebrate our relationship and commitment in front of all our friends and family. Nothing has changed in our relationship but I love being able to call Justin my husband, even two months on I still get a warm fuzzy feeling.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Justin and I were actually already 5 months into a 9 month road trip around Australia. We flew in from Cairns for our wedding and then flew back to our car in Cairns a week later. Since then we have road tripped across the top end all the way to Broome and are now traveling down the west coast. Our wedding guests also knew this and bought or contributed to some pretty incredible experiences including flying over the Kimberley’s and swimming with Whale Sharks in Ningaloo.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
So much but my main two are; first if you’re having a destination wedding having everything fully planned before you arrive so you can enjoy the few days leading up to it and arrive a couple of days early so you can settle into the environment. And my second is trust the team of people that are helping you make your wedding a reality, my favourite part was being hands off those last few days because I really trusted that all my vendors were going to create the most amazing day, and they did.
