How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Incredible!! Everything from Angie’s quick and friendly responses to my questions, the speedy delivery, and the comfort of wearing my heels all day on my wedding day. I honestly couldn’t fault the entire experience.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding and what was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Melody Heels. Besides the fact that they were ridiculously comfortable for how long I spent in them? They got so many compliments. I wanted something a bit different, and I actually fell in love with the Melody Heel well before I even had my dress!!

How did you and your husband meet?

We met on the first day of uni, over 10 years ago. We clicked straight away, but we’re just the best of friends for about 2 years before we eventually got together.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

8 years. He proposed in New Zealand, at The Onsen (private hot springs overlooking the shot over river). He had been a little suss ever since we got on the plane (I think out of fear of losing the ring haha) so by the time he popped the question I wasn’t too surprised, but it was so special nonetheless

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

I love that we are still just best friends at the core of it all. He makes me laugh like no one else can.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Fun! Just A total vibe! It was so filled with love and joy and we had an absolute blast.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

The dance floor. That was my biggest criteria (I just wanted to get all the formalities over so I could boogie). It’s so memorable because literally everyone was on the dance floor at some point, so I got to dance with all my favourite people.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Mewburn Park Homestead. I was googling country wedding venues in Vic, and we just happened to come across Mewburn. It was the furthest out of town (2.5 hours, in Gippsland) but as soon as we drove down their driveway we immediately felt at home. And Adam and Julia (the venue owners) were really what sold us. They’re just the most special people and really went above and beyond to make our day feel so smooth and effortless.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

The incredibly talented Sam at The Bridal Curator in Melbourne. He’s a legend! And Suen from Melli Couture in Melbourne made my veil.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Weirdly somehow the same, but also so different. It just feels like we have moved into this beautiful new chapter of our lives together.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We stayed in Gippsland for a few nights after the wedding to chill out, but our honeymoon is in September for 4 weeks! Hawaii, Sam Fran, Vegas, LA, and New York! We can’t wait.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

It’s so cliche but it really does go so incredibly quickly. I didn’t quite believe it until I experienced it. So many aspects of the day are just a blur, so my best advice would be to make sure you schedule in “nothing” time into your run sheet, and if your budget allows I HIGHLY recommend making wriggle room for a videographer, it just captures more of the emotion of the day.
