How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
When I started searching for wedding shoes, I knew I wanted something unique. That’s when I came across Forever Soles—and the moment I saw their collection, I just knew they were the ones. The height, the intricate details, and the glowing reviews from other brides all stood out—especially the praise for how comfortable they are (which, as we all know, is a must on your big day!). Once I placed my order, they arrived promptly in Ireland, beautifully packaged with a protective, satin travel bag and even extra pearl beading - such a thoughtful touch!
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The stunning Melody Heels in Ivory (DREAMY). I loved the finish of the shoes; the pearl beaded flowers and ribbon ankle strap.

How did you meet your husband?
In the bustling city of Johannesburg, South Africa in January 2018. Both of us had just moved from Cape Town for work (coincidentally on the exact same weekend) and met up there. The rest is history!
How long have you been together and how did they propose?
This August, marks 7 years together. Franco proposed in December’23 at his family home in Prince Alfred ’s Hamlet one morning before we were heading out for a walk with our families. It was a perfect!
What is the most amazing thing about your person?
Franco is my greatest supporter, cheerleader, and he’s made a huge, positive difference in my life. He brings stability, consistency and great food! He challenges and encourages me to grow personally and professionally. We have so much fun together and share a deep connection through our mutual values and interests (staying active, pursuing passion projects, and simply enjoying our time by the fire. We love a good braai ( to some that’s a BBQ ;)).

How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Personal.
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
Ah, wow… If I had to choose, I’d say my favourite moment was our first dance. It was two and a half minutes of just the two of us, slow dancing to one of our favourite songs. It gave us a quiet, intimate moment to take it all in together.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
At Saronsberg Cellar, in Tulbagh, South Africa. When you see it, you will understand why we chose it… Also, this area is actually very close to where my husband grew up so it was pretty special.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
My best friend who is an international designer; Chanelle Cindy Bridal. It was the most spectacular, sentimental and beautiful dress that I have ever worn and it’s not the first time she’s designed and dressed me! We have been friends for over 20 years and this was the perfect one of all time. I didn’t even wish for a second dress because I wanted to stay in it as long as possible.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
AMAZING. I love being Franco's wife. It feels so good to have solidified our love and partnership. We love our life and this commitment made, in our home country, with family and friends just added an extra dimension to our relationship.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
After the wedding, we spent three beautiful days in Franschhoek. But the real highlight was the honeymoon my husband planned! We just returned this July from the breathtaking Cinque Terre in Italy. What an incredibly special place.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Embrace this special time as a bride, and make choices that truly reflect what will make you both happy on your big day. Buy the shoes, invest in great food and entertainment, hire a day-of coordinator, and don’t be afraid to change course if something no longer fits your vision. The entire journey, from planning to the build-up to the day itself is an incredible experience, so soak it all in. You won’t be able to please everyone, but if you stay true to yourselves, you can’t go wrong.
