Kobi & Andrew: A Dreamy Celebration at Nutting Hill Villa

Our Giveaway couple tied the knot in the most magical way — and we’re still swooning.

We are absolutely thrilled to have been part of Kobi and Andrew’s stunning Byron Bay wedding at the breathtaking Nutting Hill Villa.

Kobi was the vision of effortless elegance, radiating beauty and joy in her Forever Soles. Seeing her walk through her day — from tender vows to barefoot dancing beneath the stars — reminded us why we do what we do. There's nothing more magical than seeing our pieces come to life in moments of real love.

This unforgettable wedding was part of the $50K Byron Bay Wedding Giveaway, a heartfelt project led by the amazing Flossy Byron Bay. It brought together a dream team of passionate creatives, all collaborating to create a truly magical day for a truly special couple.

We're incredibly grateful to have been part of this beautiful celebration of love, joy, and togetherness — and to have worked alongside such an inspiring group of vendors.

Describe your wedding day in three words.

Magic, perfect, ecstatic

What was the most memorable moment of the day?

Standing together in the ceremony was the best feeling ever.

How did the shoes feel on the day? Were they comfortable for dancing, walking, and celebrating?

I wore the Melody Tall Heels and they were surprisingly so comfy for how high they were! Bridesmaids and I wore them all day and night!

What did you and your bridesmaids wear? We’d love to hear how you styled your Forever Soles!

My bridesmaids wore the Melody Heels in the ivory satin. Soooo beautiful! I didn’t want to take them off!

Where did you get married, and what inspired your style choices?

Nutting Hill Villa in Clunes. I love the timeless romance as it feels very dreamy. It worked perfectly with Nutting Hills aesthetic too.

Tell us about how you and your partner, Andrew, met – how did your love story begin?

Andrew and I met at a beach in Kingscliff, NSW. I was walking my parents' dog, and he was walking his dog (Billy - who is now our dog). Andrew and I caught eyes when I first arrived at the beach, and I thought, “Oh, he’s cute. Maybe I should go chat to him”. I chickened out and kept walking my usual walk up and back along the beach. I promised myself that if he was still there when I got back, I will go talk to him.

Meanwhile, Andrew notices me and agrees to wait for me if I turn around from my walk soon. I do walk for ages, so he gets Billy on his leash and is about to walk off the beach when he sees me turn around. He lets Billy loose again and waits for me.

When I finally return to where Andrew is, I don’t break my promise to myself and go up to him. I ask - “Is that your dog?” - who is running laps around the beach chasing birds. Conversation starts flowing, and Andrew asks for my number. We have our first date a few days later.

How did the proposal happen?

The proposal happened on our 5th year anniversary of meeting on that beach. We had just moved into our home that we bought the week prior, so with our excitement and adoration of our new house, we decided to celebrate our anniversary with a picnic on the deck and watch our first sunset in the new house.

I ended up getting home early and found the deck decorated with candles and flowers… but no Andrew. Andrew was still at work for another hour and had snuck home during his lunch break to set the deck up.

My initial thought was HES GOING TO PROPOSE. I tried to keep myself distracted for the next hour, but as soon as Andrew got home, he said he knew that I knew. But he played it cool, and I thought maybe he’s just being super romantic.

We set up the cheese board, popped the champagne, and got comfy on the deck. After just a couple of sips, Andrew pulls out the box and says, “I actually got you something”. Andrew says some beautiful words to me and pops open the box with the big question of “Will you marry me?”. And of course, I said “Yes!”

The most special part was that our dog was there, who is the one that essentially brought us together that day on the beach.

What advice would you give to other brides planning their dream day?

Don’t sweat the small things. On the day, nothing will matter besides marrying your person. I was so happy with my planning, but I wish I had the foresight of just how much you don’t care about it all on the day! You’re there to marry your person, and that is simply all that matters. And it is the best!

We also have some exciting news to share with you. WE ARE PREGNANT!!!

It happened on the wedding night… so it’s a giveaway baby!!!

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

To Kobi and Andrew: thank you for letting us be a small part of your forever.
