How did you meet your husband, Ash?

We met at an Irish pub on a Friday night. We were both out for drinks with friends and I clocked him tearing up the dance floor with his silky Mauritian hips. We got talking, he asked for my number and a week later he planned the most amazing first date.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

It’s hard to pick just one.. But he is incredibly thoughtful and always the life of the party.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for nearly 4 years. He proposed by sending me on a surprise scavenger hunt where I had to follow a series clues that took me on the best little trip down memory lane to all of our favourite date spots. The last clue took me to a picnic set up in a beautiful park where Ash popped the question. It was the best!

Describe your wedding in one word:

Magic.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

There are so many! The whole day is just one big happy blur. I loved having a first look and getting a bit of time to just soak up some alone time with Ash before things got busy. I also loved having a little surprise picnic in the garden before our ceremony with our bridal party. It was the perfect opportunity to just hang out, pop some Prosecco and make sure we all had something to eat before all of the formalities started.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our wedding was at Emu Bottom Homestead in Sunbury and it was just a dream. We wanted somewhere that we could use an indoor/outdoor space for the reception and the whole venue is just stunning! The food was incredible and they also offered a cocktail package with a range of cocktails included which our guests loved. It was a no brainer for us.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Boom Blush. I took a huge risk and purchased my dress online without ever seeing it in person and it was the best risk I could have taken! It was perfect in every way and really different to anything else I’d seen.

Any special suppliers you loved?

Our photographer Ashleigh Haase was absolutely worth her weight in gold. By the time our day rolled around we felt like we were friends and she made us feel so comfortable.

Haank Events styled our reception and made our amazing denim jackets. The styling executed by Haank Events blew our minds! They created the most incredible photo area with a beautiful wall made from old books and flowers and decorating the venue in the same theme. It really was the most beautiful setup!

Annie from The Refind Bloomco also created the most beautiful flower arrangements for us- I carried my bouquet for most of the night as I just couldn’t get enough of it!

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Amazing! For the most part it’s really just the same. We are still in the same happy little love bubble as before really, but now I’ve spotted the word husband very happily into my vocabulary. Reliving our wedding day over and over again is very special though!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Mexico and Cuba and loved every minute! Cheap cocktails and exploring the most colourful and lively towns was a dream come true.

Any advice for other brides-to-be?

My biggest tip would be to make sure you spend your day and night together and do it your way. We really kept this at the forefront of our minds and I am so happy that above all else we made this the priority. For anyone considering having a first look, I would highly recommend this too!

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

My shoes were absolutely amazing! They were the perfect fit for my dress and so unbelievably comfortable too! I wore them all day and was able to navigate lawn games, walk the bush land at sunset and comfortably dance the night away in them. I have worn them to several events since too and guarantee compliments when I wear them out.
