How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
I first came across Forever Soles on Instagram. I then found myself constantly looking at the photos of all the brides in their gorgeous shoes for weeks until I decided to bite the bullet and order mine. The website had all the info and guidelines to choose the right size. Zero regrets!
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The Honey Sandals in White. They’re just so beautiful and elegant. Oh, and SO comfortable! I wore them walking across the sand and climbing over rocks and not once complained about having sore feet. I don’t have a shoe obsession, but I’m now OBSESSED with my wedding shoes and can’t wait to wear them at more special events.
How did you and your husband meet?
We met on Tinder the first night I downloaded the app. He messaged me first, asking, “cats or dogs?” and I quickly responded, “dogs.” We then spoke constantly for weeks until we finally met in person and have been inseparable ever since.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We’ve been together for nine years now. He proposed to me in Bali 5 years ago, which took me by surprise as I was convinced he was saving for a motorbike and was never going to ask me to marry him, haha. He organised one of those sunset dinners on the beach, which was so beautiful and romantic. It wasn’t until he got down on his knee that I then realised what was happening.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
His ability to remain cool, calm, and collected in every situation. I envy that quality!
How would you describe your elopement in one word?
Perfect
What is your favourite memory from your day?
Every moment, of course! Getting ready together, though, with our two kelpies is probably one of my favourite moments. As soon as I sat down to put my shoes on, they came over and laid down on my dress to be close to me. It was just so special to have them there with us.
Where was your location? What made you choose this location?
Arthur Bay on Magnetic Island, off the coast of Townsville, Queensland. We love the beach and we love adventure so it seemed very fitting for us. We wanted somewhere quiet and private.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Evie Young

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It still feels quite the same because we’ve been together for so long, but there’s this feeling of our relationship being even more special now. I’ve always dreamt of being married, and I couldn’t wait for the day to finally come that I could call Ryan my husband.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We will hopefully travel to either Bali or Canada around our 1st wedding anniversary for our honeymoon.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
ELOPE! No, but seriously. If the thought of eloping has ever crossed your mind, I encourage you to really consider it. The day is about you and your partner. You can always have a party later with family and friends to celebrate.
