Nia & Carwyn's Dreamy Wedding in the UK
NIA WEARS OUR MELODY LOW HEELS
Photography by Chris Andrews Photography
How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
So easy! I pre ordered as soon as I spotted them but they arrived sooo much quicker than I thought!!
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
My wedding shoes were the Melody Low Heels in Ivory. I fell so in love with them—they were the first thing I purchased after we got engaged! I love how ultra-feminine they are; the pearl detail is so pretty, and with the ribbon ankle tie, they felt magical. They also inspired me to accessorise my dress with pieces from two wonderful women who, unfortunately, couldn’t be with us. I wore my gran’s string of pearls and my (basically adopted) grandmother’s pearl drop earrings! The low heel was the perfect height for comfort and ideal for walking on the grounds of our beautiful venue.
How did you and your husband meet?
We actually met online, on bumble, during Covid.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We’d been together for 2 years after he popped the question! When you know you know right? I’d had a bit of a crazy week in work and had requested I wanted to put on a nice dress and for him to wine and dine me! He surprised me with a beautiful dinner at the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge. To this day I was in so much shock when he got down on one knee, we can’t remember if I actually said yes!!
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
He makes me laugh, all of the time! Everyday is definitely an adventure together, we have so much fun
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Dreamy
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
It’s so hard to pick one! It was made of up so many wonderful memories that will literally stay with us for our lifetime.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
We got married at Hensol Castle, South Wales, UK. Not only is it an incredible venue but my dad used to play cricket on the grounds and my mum used to help score! I loved that connection.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
My beautiful gown was Beata by Milla Nova.
Are there any suppliers you would recommend to brides-to-be in the area?
I mean I have to shout out to Chris Andrews our photographer, he literally creates magic! I loved how laid back his style is, perfect as we aren’t into super posed imagery and I didn’t want to make our guests feel uncomfortable! Honestly, it felt like having one of our friends there with us on the day, as we’d met a few times before, so Chris could get to know us as a couple more!
Also, shout out to Kieran at Fox and Blossom Videography. I’d been determined to have our wedding filmed as I also remember watching my mum & dad’s wedding on video when I was younger. I want that memory for our children too!
My beautiful flowers were by Gail Armytage and the super talented girls at Lumi Events decorated the venue. They got the brief down! I just wanted delphiniums everywhere!
And our wonderful Cake was by Flora Farm Shop & Kitchen.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
I love it, making us officially a little family is the best feeling. I love using my new title of Mrs!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We took our 7 month old golden doodle Teddy on a little staycation to the Cotswolds. A week filled with exploring the area, hot tub relaxing and lots of wine…We are now expecting our first baby in May!
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
I did get stressed on the build up but seriously when the day comes nothing else matters other than you get to marry your best friend surrounded by people you love! Try and soak in that feeling as many times in the day as you can, because it really does fly by!
