Ella & Will

What shoes did you wear?

The Sister Heels in Ruby.

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I’m very lucky that my sister is the founder of Forever Soles and I had the luxury of designing the Sister Heels with her. Myself and all my bridesmaids wore the same shoe as we were all so in love with the colour we just couldn’t resist. It also was fun all having the same shoe on the day. It really felt like it made us all closer.

What is his name and how did you meet?

His name is Will Eagle - you can understand why I was happy to marry into that last name.

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

We went on a trip to Japan a few years ago and all our Japanese friends named him Mr. Perfect. This is an accurate description for him as everything he does is perfect. It’s great for me because if I had a nickname it would be half-done-Ella. So we work really well together.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for 8 yrs and he proposed at Lovers Bay Lord Howe Island in full Mr. Perfect style.

Describe your wedding in one word:

Lucky. Our wedding day was very close to not going ahead. Between covid, the floods and almost losing our venue for the second time. This wedding day was lucky to happen at all.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

My favourite memory would have to be seeing Will's face when he saw me all dressed up. I’m not one to wear pretty dresses or makeup so he was very smitten when he saw me all dolled up. I think I saw a tear.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our wedding was located in Lennox Head, my home town of 33 years. It’s special to me and most of my family and best friends live here so it was easy. We decided to get married outside on council land so the odds of it raining were high but somehow we got the only sunny weekend we had for a long time.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

Life feels much more relaxed now actually and natural. I’m so happy to call him my husband and, to be honest, I was getting a little tired of using the word fiancé.

Any advice for other brides-to-be?

My advice would be to take tiny moments to yourselves. Take a step away, sit together, reflect with a glass of champagne, look into each other’s eyes and really embrace the moment. It’s hard to get quality time together so make an effort to take this time before the day slips away.
