Jess & Mitch
What’s your husband's name and how did you meet?
Mitchell and I met in a highschool automotive class. We’d been in class together already for a few months but we didn’t notice each other until the day I spilled my chai tea latte all over the shop floor and he was the only one to help me clean it up.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We’ve been together just over 10 years! He proposed to me on our eighth anniversary while we were snowshoeing in the North Shore mountains. I knew something special was happening when he started reciting my favourite poem from memory.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
FINALLY!
In all seriousness, it was everything it was meant to be and beyond.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel the first wedding we planned with about 80 guests at a lodge on the Sunshine Coast. We decided to re-plan an intimate wedding with just our immediate families and a few close friends in my parents’ backyard. It is so special to have the memories of our wedding at the house. As an added bonus we had a beautiful view of the lake. It was laid back and absolutely perfect.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Don’t stress it. Go with the flow and savour every moment you possibly can because the day goes by way too quickly.

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
Amazing and stress free. The Daydreamer Sandals felt like a cloud under my feet and they held up the entire day. They were even easy to run in through a field of sagebrush during photos. Angie was also amazing with her customer service and keeping me up to date on shipping as needed.
