How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Easy! I had saved pictures of the melody heels on Instagram and Pinterest years before getting married and I knew I always wanted to purchase them for my wedding. I purchased them online before I even tried on wedding dresses.

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

I wore the Melody Low Heels in ivory! I love the pearl details and that they are so unique. I had so many compliments on the shoes! Some of my suppliers said it was nice to see some different shoes as they see so many of the same bridal heels. The shoes were so comfortable and I danced all night in them!

How did you and your husband meet?

We met when we were in primary school at our swimming club. We were friends growing up and didn’t get together until we were in our early twenties.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for 8 years! Rob proposed during Melbourne lockdown in September 2021. He had organised for me to go on a walk with my friend which gave him time to set up the house with rose petals, champagne and a delicious food platter. When I got home from my walk I was so surprised to see him standing in the lounge room waiting for me!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

Rob is the kindest and sweetest person I know. He is nice to everybody and is the life of any party! He is loud and confident - we are total opposites in that way!

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Perfect!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

My favourite memory from our wedding would be standing at the front of the ceremony, next to the love of my life and our best friends, looking out at all of our favourite people. There was so much love in the room.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our wedding was at Rupert on Rupert in Collingwood, Melbourne. The venue is incredible and so unique. I loved all the indoor plants and see-through roof over the aisle which made it feel outdoors without the stress of the Melbourne weather!

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Kyha Studios - Lucia top and skirt. I also added the sleeves from another one of their gowns.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

It feels so good! We were only married 2 weeks ago so are still on a bit of a post wedding high. We can’t stop looking at all of our wedding photos and reliving the day!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Port Stephens and stayed at Bannisters. It was a short and sweet honeymoon as Rob is a teacher and it was mid school term. The hotel was amazing and it was lovely to relax by the pool with cocktails in hand.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Go with your gut when booking suppliers. Once we found a supplier that we liked we booked them straight away! I felt like we could have looked forever and gone down a rabbit hole with all of the different suppliers out there but in the end it comes down to who you like - and I figured that once we found a supplier we both loved there was no point looking any further!
Also, try not to stress about the things that are out of your control!
