How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
It was wonderful! I built so much of my look off of the Forever Soles shoes I wore. They were stunning, and brought the exact pearl-studded, classic vibe I was going for!
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding?
I wore the Melody Low Heels in Ivory.
What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The pearl flowers were such a stunning detail, and the ribbon ties make them SO chic. Once I saw them online, I knew immediately that I wanted to wear them on the big day!
How did you and your wife meet?
We met while both working as nurses in the emergency department at a children’s hospital in San Francisco.
How long have you been together and how did she propose?
We have been together for almost 3 years now. We both proposed to each other together on a beach in Maui. We exchanged rings and I gave her a scrapbook I made of moments across our relationship since we started dating in 2022.
What is the most amazing thing about your wife?
The most amazing thing about my wife is how she shows her love for me in so many little ways every day. Whether it’s holding my hand on a walk, a patient response when I’m feeling overwhelmed, or talking in a silly voice to bring me out of a bad mood, she is always showing me through every action the magnitude of her love.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Honestly, probably the word “fun”. I had so much fun marrying the woman I love and taking sweet and silly pictures all day.
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
I think my favorite memory would have to be the actual ceremony. There was so much chaos and coordinating leading up to that moment, and we finally got to rest and revel in the fact that it was actually happening!
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
We got married at San Francisco city hall. My wife had dreamed of getting married here for quite some time, as the building itself has a ton of stunning architecture. The city itself is also very important to us, as we are both transplants from far away (I’m from Texas, USA and she’s from Ontario, CAN), so we thought it would be a special tribute to the place where we met.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
My dress was from the brand BHLDN, purchased from Anthropologie Wedding!
Any other suppliers (photographers, florals, etc.) we need to credit? Photographers info above, but the bouquets were made by us at home :) Flowers from 6 different stores, silk ribbon, flower shears, pins, and a couple hours the night before the wedding!
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It feels great! I knew very early on that I wanted to marry Andrea, so it feels very exciting that she’s finally my wife!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went on a “mini-moon” weekend getaway near Lake Tahoe. We stayed in an airstream in a gorgeous forrest, with a beautifully lit deck that had an in-ground hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor movie projector. It was incredibly relaxing and such a great end to a fun but stressful time!
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Try not to get bogged down with every single detail! Even if something goes wrong (for example, the fact that our wedding cake tasted absolutely inedible), the overall day is still about celebrating the love between you and your partner! When all of the chaos of the day is done, that’s the part you’ll always think about.
