JESSICA WEARS OUR MELODY LOW HEELS
Photography by Lena Ibarra
How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
It was fantastic, everything went smoothly. I was nervous about ordering shoes online, but I followed the sizing chart and they fit perfectly. I discovered Forever Soles from searching on Etsy for pearl wedding shoes and came across the Melody heels. I instantly fell in love with them and knew they’d be perfect for my wedding day.
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding and what was your favourite thing about your shoes?
Melody Low Heels Ivory! They were the perfect blend of classy, girly, and comfortable. I love the pearl flowers, they are so unique.
How did you and your husband meet?
We met at a friends wedding.
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We have been together for 6 years. He proposed on a trip to our favourite city, Carmel-by-the-sea. We went to dinner at The Bench with friends and he asked me to marry him on the 18th hole.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
His humour and selflessness. He always makes me laugh and reminds me that life is supposed to be fun and not so serious all the time. He makes sure that I’m taken care of and has a servants heart.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Chill
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
I loved our last dance, most people were gone so it was just us two on the dance floor. Kacey Musgraves has been one of our favorite artists so we danced to her song Golden Hour.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Pasa Tiempo Ranch in Clovis, Ca. The venue was seriously the most perfect place for our wedding and the owners Lewis and Judy were wonderful! It was a beautiful venue that felt authentic and so “us”.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Wtoo by Watters. My mom and her friend added the buttons down the back of my dress because that’s what I always envisioned.
Any suppliers that you can recommend with fellow brides-to-be in your area?
My florals were done by my old high school’s FFA program, Green & Gold Floral Shop.
My photographer, Lena Ibarra, is amazing and seriously the best to work with!
My day of coordinator was great, Mira from Humble Hostess.
I got a great deal on my dress during a sample sale from Ivory Bridal Boutique which helped me splurge a little on my wedding shoes.
The food & dessert fit our personalities @theroingdonutfresno and Chuys Tacos.
Our hair and makeup team were the sweetest ladies @dolledupxjess and @shelbychristinehair.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
I’m so happy we finally tied the knot! 6 years was a long time to date, but during that time we both got to grow individually and learn what we want in life. Getting to be married and finally living together has been exciting. He brings me a cup of coffee with a kiss every morning. We’ve had fun so far, I’m excited for what is in store for us.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Our first honeymoon (mini moon) was immediately after our wedding in Carmel-by-the-sea where we got to wine taste, have a spa day at Pebble Beach, bike around town, go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and eat the most delicious food.
Our other honeymoon will be this fall in Montana where we plan on exploring Glacier National Park.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Be yourself, there’s no need to follow any “wedding rules” or traditions. Pick whatever fits your personality the best and have fun!
