What’s your husband's name and how did you meet?

James Jeffrey Orchard JR – we met at work in D.C. He actually was on the panel of interviewers for the job I was applying for.

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We started dating May 2nd 2015 and he proposed on July 7th, 2018. We were on St. Pete Beach in Florida celebrating our 3 years of being together and we went for a walk on the beach around 9:30pm. He started talking about our future and then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

That he loves me for who I am, he makes me laugh every single day and he is genuinely my best friend. I never understood when people would say their boyfriend or husband was their best friend, I thought it was cliché until I met James and I realized what it actually meant.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Breathtaking. It was a boho, coastal, Fall wedding and came out perfect!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Walking down the aisle and feeling nervous at first, but then looking around at the turquoise ocean and the picture perfect day and the beautiful arbor with the amazing flowers and seeing James standing up there waiting for me, I lost all my nervousness and became peaceful, strong and confident because I knew this was so right and the most happiest day of my life.

Is there anything you would change?

If I could have had the venue for 4 more hours so I could keep dancing the night away! But really, I would not have changed a thing!

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

The ceremony was on the beach on Anna Marie Island in Florida and the reception was at the Neptune room a mile down the road on the bay side. I have always dreamt about a beach wedding and when we looked at the venue I cried because it was so right. We rented a 7 bedroom beach house for a week for all our family and friends to celebrate in the same location. It was a blast!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

The day is going to go by so fast. Take a moment and look around to take it all in. Remember the day is about you and your new husband, so share a special moment alone to cherish the day.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

It feels AMAZING! I have been planning our wedding for a year and I wanted every little detail to shine and it did, it was a dream come true and now I get to spend the rest of my life with an amazing husband and live out a wonderful adventure together.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We only did a mini-moon cruise to Cozumel (which was awesome) but our real honeymoon will be next year. We are looking into a Mediterranean cruise.

How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I loved it! I wore the Daydreamer sandal in Ivory and bought the Silver chain flat sandal in case I needed it for dancing but ended up wearing the daydreamer the whole night! For the ceremony I had on just the two Flora silver anklets and then for the reception I put on the daydreamer with the anklets. I also bought my mom the Cherish anklets gold which she wore for the ceremony. AND I can’t forget I had the shell beaded bridal beach clutch for the reception!
