How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

Great! The Melody heels were very popular and so I had to place a pre-order and wait for them to arrive, but the team was great with keeping me updated on their ETA. When they arrived I unfortunately found I had ordered the wrong size, but the team helped me find my correct fit and return the incorrect sizes without any hassle!

Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

The Melody low heels in Ivory! They were so comfortable! I wore them all day and night, including walking through the woods for our photos, and tearing up the dance floor! I also loved the look of them, they were unique compared to other bridal shoes I looked at, and matched the pearl detailing of my dress perfectly. I'll definitely wear them again in the future!

How did you and your husband meet?

We met at a summer camp when we were both 13!

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have been together for 12 years. Our proposal story is a funny one, Mike had bought the ring but hadn't decided when or how he would propose, so he just carried it with him everywhere. We were at dinner with friends when one of them asked him as a joke when he was going to propose, and he just whipped the ring out then and there! I don't know who was more shocked, me or our friends!

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

His kindness. He's a gentle soul who is always thinking of others.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Intimate - we had a very small wedding and that closeness made it really special!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

So hard to choose! We had a close friend write and deliver our ceremony, she gave the most beautiful speech about us and then we said our own vows which made the whole ceremony feel so personal, I'll never forget it.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Cave Hill Creek in Regional Victoria. We had a lot of overseas guests at our wedding so we wanted a venue where everyone could stay on-site for a few days. Cave Hill Creek is primarily a summer camp venue with lots of accommodation on site, which met our needs perfectly and also felt appropriate given we first met as kids on summer camp! As soon as we first saw the place we were floored by its beauty and knew we couldn't get married anywhere else.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

I bought it from StillWhite, but it was originally from David's Bridal in the US.

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

In some ways not that different because we had already been together for so long, but in other ways I feel really content and secure after experiencing such an outpouring of love from our friends and family!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We haven't gone anywhere yet but we are considering Greece later this year!

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Don't sweat the small stuff too much! Also, if you're having an outdoors wedding and wearing a tulle/multi layered dress, bring some insect repellant! No one told me bugs love climbing up in between layers of tulle!
