Jayme & Jaedyn
How did you meet Jaedyn?
We met at high school! Jaedyn moved from a small country town to my high school in our final year but it took us 9 months to even chat to each other!
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
Jaedyn and I have been together 6 amazing years (as of our wedding day). Jaedyn proposed to me on our 4 year anniversary while we were traveling through tropical North Queensland in a campervan. You know it’s love when you’re living in a van, haven’t showered in a few days and he still proposes! Jaedyn found a small beach north of Cairns and rolled out a picnic rug at sunset. A perfect low key proposal by the sea.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
The most amazing thing about Jaedyn is that he is so calm and level headed. I’m the total opposite so he evens me out completely. No matter the situation, no matter how much I overthink things, Jaedyn is always there to keep me calm. Not only that but he’s absolutely hilarious! He makes me laugh even when I’m (trying to be) grumpy at him!
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Magic! (and hot.... but that was to be expected in the tropics)
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
My favourite memory from our special day was when we’d just finished all our photos and headed back to our room to freshen up before arriving at our reception. We both sat on the bed, looked in each others eyes and with the biggest grins said “ohhhhh my gosh we’re married!!”. We used that little pause in a busy day to collect all our thoughts, debrief on our ceremony and talk about how grateful we were for our beautiful day. We also scoffed down all the canapés we missed while we were having photos!
Is there anything you would change?
No regrets- everything happens for a reason and thankfully everything happened exactly how we planned.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Our wedding was at beautiful Villa the Sanctuary, Canggu in Bali. Our first overseas trip together was Bali back in 2014 and we’ve been back every year since. We always feel our happiest and most free when we’re living the island life. We wanted nothing more than to have our beautiful family and friends with us in our happy place. We found Villa the Sanctuary had the perfect tropical jungle feel with heaps of space for our nearest and dearest.
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Take a minute (or 10) with your husband away from all the chaos on your wedding day. Think about all the things you are grateful for in the moment.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
My beautiful gown is by Made with Love. Every single dress is hand wrapped and packed by the designer’s mum- I love that!
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It’s an amazing feeling! Still feels crazy referring to Jaedyn as my husband but.... how cool is that! The only downside is knowing our wedding day is over, we just want to do it all again.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Pangkor Laut Island in Malaysia for our honeymoon. We left two days after our wedding and it was the perfect relaxing trip after our destination wedding.
How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
My experience with Forever Soles was amazing! I spent hours searching the net for gorgeous freshwater pearl anklets to dress up my plain heels. I’m so grateful Forever Soles had the perfect anklets which were also affordable. My delivery arrived so quickly, too! After the formalities, I kicked my heels off and was able to dance the night away holding my dress up to show off my gorgeous anklets. I scored plenty of compliments and have had some girlfriends ask to borrow them already!
