KARISSA & CHUGGA
My partner and I (Paul - but only ever called Chugga by everyone) eloped in your paradise Byron Bay! We flew over from Perth for an intimate celebration, with both sets of parents, my brother and Chugga's sister (and her daughter our only niece) with our three young kiddies as well.
After cancelling in the early planning stages of what was going to be our wedding in Western Australia, we stripped it right down and eloped with "Hitched in Paradise". I can't believe just how easy the entire planning process was with the lovely Tarnie, she and hubby Ben who was also our incredible celebrant (from BC Celebrant) were beyond accommodating for our perfect day. Tarnie arranged almost everything! From my hair and make up with Kasey Walker Hair and Makeup, my flowers through The French Petal, all of the paperwork, arbour and styling.
My dress was by Grace Loves Lace "Edie"
If there's only one word I can use to describe our day, it would just be perfection! I would not have changed a single thing.
The most amazing thing about Chugga is his heart of gold. He will go out of his way time and time again to not only make me feel special, but go above and beyond for anyone he can. He is truly the most dedicated and fun dad to our kiddies also.
The most challenging thing about our wedding, at the time was going to be the weather! It was bucketing down with gale force winds the days leading up to our day. In fact until the morning of the wedding, we didn't know if we were marrying at Watego Beach or Tallow Beach. We woke up that morning to the most stunning day we could have asked for and went ahead with our ceremony at Watego.
Our "aisle"song was Slow Show by The National.. not typically a wedding song, but it's "our" song. We closed off the ceremony and signing with All of You by Busby Marou and Just Call by John Butler.
Something that will stay with me forever on our wedding day, was having our kiddies play in the sand by our feet on the most stunning day I could have asked for, in front of parents, brother and sister.
After our incredible photos by Jerome from Bird and Boy Photography, we went back to our fancy air bnb in Newrybar to celebrate of a delectable private chef catered meal by Friday Hut Dining.. and cake from Millies of Newrybar.
All from Byron Bay!
My experience with Forever Soles, from the moment I made contact (not even realising you guys are of Byron) was sensational. Your customer service was so personal. I showed you my dress early on and you guys suggested some shoes for me. Knowing that our ceremony was going to be on the beach, and that I am also not the most confident heel walker, my shoes were perfect. I just recently wore them in the closing hours at my best friends wedding on the weekend (after we had all retired from heels for the night)
Thank you ladies for adding to our perfect day in paradise xx
