Liana & Tim's Garden Celebration
LIANA WEARS OUR HONEY HEELS IN BLUE
Photography by Wilde Visual
How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
It was really special to be able to bring a bit of brightness and colour (something blue!) through my shoes - and because my dress had a split, the peep of colour was a little surprise as I walked down the aisle. They were also incredibly comfortable and lasted the whole day and night, including hours on the dance floor.
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
The Honey Heels in Blue! The colour was perfect, a soft blue that matched perfectly with the gentle colours of my flowers - and of course how comfortable they were!
How did you and your husband meet?
We met in England when I did the stereotypical Aussie thing and moved over for a two year working stint (he's English). My visa ended and he decided to come back to Australia with me (three months before Melbourne locked down for COVID...yikes).
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
When we got married, we had been together for 7 years. He proposed on a remote beach on Hamilton Island just after my 30th birthday. It was around 7am and we'd made the hike over to the secluded beach to see it with high tide. There wasn't a soul around.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
Apart from the fact he moved across the world to be with me and made it through Melbourne's lockdowns with me as our first time living together? Haha. Then I would say his incredibly kind heart.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Unforgettable
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
Having all the people we love in one room together. We had people from Ireland, England, America, Singapore and across Australia (QLD, VIC, ACT, NSW, WA). Something we won't ever have again and it was incredibly special for us.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Summergrove Estate in Carool NSW. We wanted to create a version of an English garden party in Australia and as soon as we stepped out of the car at Summergrove we knew it was the destination for us. I'm also originally from Brisbane so it was a perfect combination of a garden party and close to where I grew up.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
Jenny Yoo, I purchased it at The Bridal Curator in Melbourne.
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
Being a wife feels the same as it did before - given we already lived together for 5 years! But it's so beautiful to be able to call someone your husband and celebrate your love with family and friends. It also feels like we can start the next chapter of our lives.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We had a mini-moon at Noosa before heading back to Melbourne - but our honeymoon will hopefully be this year in USA / Canada!
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Don't sweat the small stuff and remember it's you and your fiancée's wedding. Wedding planning can be incredibly stressful and everyone will have opinions on how to do things. But if you and your fiancée agree, then at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
