Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Our wedding was at Summergrove Estate in the Tweed Hinterland. We chose Summergrove because we loved the barn and also the views of the hills and the ocean.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
My gown was an Emmy Mae Bridal creation from Bohemian Brides
What is one word that would best describe your wedding?
Just one?! FUN - soooo much fun!
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
Brenden is incredibly humble and caring and will do anything just to make me smile or laugh.
What was the most challenging part of organising a wedding?
Locking in a date! Brenden is a Paralympic swimmer and I also work in sport so finding a date / week that we both had free plus one that worked with the venue was a little challenging. After that, all the elements that go into organising the wedding seemed to just happen.
Any funny moments?
So many, especially the speeches! But one in particular was the best man's speech by Brenden's younger brother. Everyone was in stitches as he retold the story of when he caught Brenden and I kissing at their family house. We were only 17/18 at the time and had been telling both our families we were just friends haha!
What was your aisle song?
I walked down the aisle to Here comes the sun by The Beatles
What is one scene in the wedding that will forever be in your memory?
Our first dance. All our guests gathered around in a circle to watch the dance and then as soon as the music started they all began singing and clapping along to the song. Everyone was so happy and we couldn't stop smiling, I remember my dad in particular absolutely belting out the song. Half way through, everyone joined in on the dance floor and it was amazing. Watching that part in our wedding video gives me the biggest smile and an overwhelming sense of happiness! That dance then set off the dance floor, it was packed all night!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We had a mini moon directly after our wedding, down on the Tweed and Gold Coast and shortly we'll be island-hopping through Indonesia. Had to fit in the holidays around the sport! haha
How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
Amazing! I danced the whole night away in my Peace and Love heels. They are the comfiest pair of heels I own and so beautiful! When I was trying my dress on at Bohemian Brides I saw the heels and immediately knew they were the ones I was going to wear. As soon as I put them on they were so comfy and I couldn't find another pair that even came close to them.
