How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?
My experience with Forever Soles was wonderful! The website was easy to use and when I had questions, I emailed Holly and she got back to me very quickly. My shoe shipped in under a day and made it from Australia to Nebraska, USA in a very short time.
Which shoes did you wear for your wedding? What was your favourite thing about your shoes?
I wore the Meadow heels. I cannot pick a favourite thing about the shoes! I love the ribbon because I have been a dancer my whole life and they were reminiscent of my pointe shoes, I love the elegant colour and soft suede, and I love the beautiful gold lining and extra cushion in the ball of the foot.
How did you and your husband meet?
My husband and I met while I was attending performing arts college. I did a performance workshop with kids and at the college he was currently attending and he helped with the kids. My mom was a "camp mom" at the workshop and they also became friends. She began inviting him to eat meals with us and it wasn't until my friend came to visit that she told me my mom was trying to set us up! Needless to say it worked and we kept finding ourselves having conversations here and there and wanting to stay in contact. Keaton actually had plans to move to California to attend the same performing arts college that I attended that following fall, so we got to spend even more time together and the rest is history!
How long have you been together and how did he propose?
We have been together for four years. He proposed at his family's farm in Nebraska. He invited my close friends and they each held signs that said something significant about our relationship. There was a beautiful arbor that his dad made that was filled with candles, flowers, and votives, through a doorway once I made it through all of my friends. It was absolutely unexpected and so beautiful. His older brother and his wife were also singing our favourite song as he proposed.
What is the most amazing thing about your man?
Keaton is the kindest man you will ever meet. He constantly looks out for others and will always stick up for the underdog. He treats me with the utmost respect and makes me laugh every single day.
How would you describe your wedding in one word?
Whimsical
What is your favourite memory from your wedding?
I loved getting to see all of my loved ones -friends and family- that had not seen one another in years. Their joy meant the absolute world to me.
Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?
Our wedding was at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. The church was only 40 days old and we were the third wedding. It was absolutely stunning and is now the biggest church in Nebraska! Our Priest is incredible and we are so lucky the church was finished in time for our big day. Our reception was at The Barn at Ackerhurst Dairy Farm. It was a beautiful repurposed barn that had so much charm and character.
Who created your gorgeous gown?
You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?
It feels incredible!! Over a year of planning absolutely paid off and it was all so worth it. I cannot wait to start a new beginning and family with Keaton. We want to go on so many adventures!
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We are going to the Dominican Republic!
Any advice for our brides-to-be?
Do not be afraid to ask for help. I know you want it to be perfect so you will want to do it all yourself, but there are people around you that would love to make your life easier and can take easy tasks off of your plate. You do not have to do it alone!!
