How was your experience as a Forever Soles bride?

I really struggled finding the perfect wedding shoe until I stumbled across a wedding photographer that had featured a bride wearing a stunning pair that caught my eye. I tried to track down the bride so I could message her to find out the brand but couldn’t find her tagged anywhere. On a whim I decided to comment on the photo asking if the photographer knew what shoes the bride was wearing and to my surprise the bride herself saw the comment and replied saying “Forever Soles”. That same day I placed my order, after using the handy size guide and measuring my feet and 3 days later they arrived!

What was your favourite thing about your shoes?

How incredibly comfy they were!! I had zero issues and wore them the entire day. Comfort and ensuring they weren’t too high were my main concerns and the infinity mules were utter perfection.

How did you and your husband meet?

We met through mutual friends on a night out in Auckland, NZ (we are both Kiwis currently living in Melbourne).

How long have you been together and how did he propose?

We have just celebrated 5 years together. He proposed after our 3-year anniversary in the Royal Botanic Gardens. He timed it perfectly when my parents were able to sneak in a visit to Melbourne in June 2021, (in between our never-ending lockdowns).

What is the most amazing thing about your man?

His confidence, he makes me feel like I can do anything and has always believed in me. He’s truly my best friend and feels like home.

How would you describe your wedding in one word?

Magical!

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

The heartfelt speeches. We had only family speaking, and all written our speeches separately, yet they all sounded so in sync; they effortlessly complimented each other’s. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room afterwards.

Where was your wedding located? What made you choose this location?

Our ceremony was held at my high school chapel Diocesan School for Girls, we were married by the same reverend who taught religious studies when I was in school which was special.

Our reception venue also held such significance as it has always been my dream wedding venue from a young age. Having both my uncles celebrate their own marriages there and being situated in the suburb I grew up in, it’s been a place I have often passed and daydreamed about. It was my magical fairy-tale wedding.

Who created your gorgeous gown?

Anna Schimmel (a well-known wedding dress designer based in New Zealand)

You're a wife now! How does it feel to finally tie the knot?

We had already been living together for 4 years before getting married so although not much has changed, it feels very natural, and we agree everything is more secure.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We are spending a month travelling through Europe, visiting parts of France, Spain, and Italy.

Any advice for our brides-to-be?

Put aside time in your schedule for just you and your husband to connect. It’s a whirlwind day that flies by so take time just the two of you to soak everything in and celebrate your love.
